I have been making pictures since I was 5 years old. It is so much a part of me that, until this moment, I haven’t even found it unusual.

Someone has said of my watercolors that they are like brief meditations, short poems, a sort of visual haiku. I hope that is so.

I see my paintings as joyful celebrations, a way to immerse myself in the quiet beauty of the world. I make paintings, of places and things, colors and light that somehow call out to me.
